STEPHEN KING'S `THINNER' BECOMES A REALITY

CHALFONT, Penn. (Wireless Flash) -- Reality has taken a page out of Stephen King's fiction with the death of the man who almost killed him last summer. In June of 1999 Bryan Smith's van plowed into King after his dog distracted him while driving. Last Friday, the 43- year-old Smith was found dead in his Fryeburg, Maine, home. Now psychic Elizabeth Joyce fears King's own writing may have conjured up a real life version of his novel "Thinner", where a careless driver is cursed for killing a pedestrian. Even more bizarre, Joyce fears that once Smith's dog dies, dog and master may seek retribution on King "a la" "Poltergeist." Joyce says it may be time for King to stop writing horror and stop tampering with forces he's not aware of.
