SATANISTS SOUND OFF OVER GLUT OF DEVIL FILMS

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- The re-release of "The Exorcist" and Adam Sandler's upcoming comedy, "Little Nicky," are giving Satan the most publicity in years -- but Satanists don't expect too many new recruits. A spokesman for the Church Of Satan in New York City says he fears films like "The Exorcist" and "Little Nicky" will simply reinforce myths rather than promoting the devil's good side. Satanist Peter Gilmore hopes "Little Nicky" -- where Sandler plays the son of Satan -- will portray the devil as a loving parent but he fears watching the film could be hell because, as he puts it, "Sandler's not particularly funny." However, Gilmore has high hopes that Liz Hurley's devilish film "Bedazzled" will give the devil his due because the original 1967 Dudley Moore comedy "accurately portrayed Satan as someone who brings pleasure, not pain."
