37 PERCENT OF COUPLES LIE TO EACH OTHER

MENLO PARK, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- If Americans are telling the truth, it seems more than a third of them are lying to their partners. According to a poll by Dr. Ellyn Bader and Dr. Peter Pearson, authors of a new book, "Tell Me No Lies" (St. Martin's Press), 37 percent of Americans admit they've lied to their partners in the past year. -- 38 percent lied about financial matters. -- 25 percent lied by complimenting their partner's appearance when they really looked bad. -- 19 percent told their partner he or she was a good cook. -- And 15 percent admit they fibbed when they told their lover, "The sex was great!"
