TAUNTON, England (Wireless Flash) -- History is repeating itself for Garth Brooks, who may be reliving a past life as a 17th century Irish poet named Ryan Fitzgerald. That's according to 50-year-old Jenny Smedley, a British reincarnation researcher, who claims she was Garth's girlfriend in the 17th century until he was murdered in a sword fight. Smedley claims the country star's recent rescue of a teenager caught in an Oklahoma fire is amazingly similar to a past life experience where Garth battled a forest fire. But not everything in Garth's life is related to his Irish poet past. Although he's divorcing his wife Sandy, Smedley can't recall ever seeing them together during the 1600s.
