HOUSTON (Wireless Flash) -- Can't sleep? Well, it turns out just thinking about your bed could be your worst nightmare. According to Houston-based sleep expert Dr. Max Hirshkowitz, the mere thought of a bed might keep you awake at night. Hirshkowitz says some people are so afraid of not getting enough shut-eye, they inadvertently condition themselves to break into a sweat and will have heart palpitations whenever they lie down on the bed. Even worse, the anti-sleep anxiety attacks can be triggered just by thinking about an item in your bedroom. To avoid problems, Hirshkowitz recommends finding a bedtime ritual much like when you were a kid -- such as eating milk and cookies or reading a bedtime story.
