CALLING ELECTION EARLY COULD JINX WINNER

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Peter Jennings and Dan Rather better not call the election early -- it could result in an assassination attempt on the future president. That's according to New York-based astrologer Shelley Ackerman, who claims astrological conditions involving the moon and Mercury this evening could lead to an assassination if journalists jump the gun. Ackerman says Mercury will keep voters on the fence until the last minute and, as a result, the final tally may not come in until late in the evening. The astrologer is warning journalists and politicians not to make any predictions or acceptance speeches before 12:05 a.m. Eastern time on November 8, otherwise the presidency could be cursed with scandals -- or even an assassination attempt.
