ROBOT SPY IS MECHANICAL JAMES BOND (EMBARGOED UNTIL NOV. 14)

PITTSBURGH (Wireless Flash) -- Want more proof computers are taking over the world? A robotics company has just launched a computerized "spy" that can visually monitor activities in your home. The so-called "Spy-Cye" is a shoe box-sized robot on wheels which patrols your house and transmits video of suspicious activity to you via the internet. A spokeswoman for Probotics, which makes the robot, says the gizmo can be used to monitor vacation homes, offices or even to make sure your kids aren't throwing wild parties when you're away from home. The robot spy sells for $945.
