PLANTS TO PREDICT PRESIDENTIAL WINNER?

OJAI, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- We still don't know who the next president of the United States will be -- but a man in California thinks his plants have predicted the winner. Four days ago, 28-year-old carpenter Harlan Thomas of Ojai, California, planted two seeds of a flowering bush -- one for George W. Bush and one for Al Gore. Thomas says he wrote down everything he knows about each candidate on tiny scrolls which he burned and buried in the pots of each respective candidate. So far, the only plant to sprout has been the Gore seedling, which Thomas takes as a sign that Gore will be the last man standing. The seeds were part of a kit called "Madam Fi Fi's Forgiveness Plants," which supposedly have mystical powers.
