ONE-THIRD OF BRIDES HATE THEIR ENGAGEMENT RINGS

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Talk about wedding bell blues: It's estimated one-third of all brides-to-be hate their engagement rings. According to bridal counselor Sheryl Nissinen, many women can't stand the ring their fiancee gave them but are too embarrassed to admit it. To help unveil the problem, she's collected the complaints of several women for an upcoming book, "The Conscious Bride: Women Unveil Their True Feelings About Getting Hitched" (New Harbinger). One woman complains that the diamond her man gave her is small, ugly and looks "like something he had bought at a pawn shop." Another says she was upset because she got a ring made out of gold instead of platinum. Nissinen says even though it may burst the romantic bubble to tell your guy you hate the ring, in the long run it's better for your marriage to be honest with your mate.
