ELVIS IMPERSONATORS REACHING GLOBAL CRISIS

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Here's a fact that may leave you all shook up -- the number of Elvis impersonators is growing at an alarming rate. According to calculations by Gordon Forbes III, director and producer of an upcoming Elvis TV documentary, the number of Elvis impersonators has increased from only 150 in 1977 to about 35,000 this year. Forbes figures one third of the world's population could be Elvis impersonators by the year 2019. He says trends already point to the strongest grouping of Elvis impersonators in the midwest of the United States. Forbes' documentary -- "Elvis And The Men Who Would Be King" will air December 10 on The Learning Channel.
