AMERICANS ARE REAL TURKEYS ABOUT THANKSGIVING

DENVER (Wireless Flash) -- A heck of a lot of Americans need to brush up on their history lessons -- most have no clue why they celebrate Thanksgiving. According to a survey by Resolution Research and Marketing, 60 percent think the holiday was imported from England, where it had been celebrated for centuries. What's more, 12 percent think it has something to do with NATO forces winning victory during World War II and another 12 percent think it was started to honor the Americans victory over the British in the Revolutionary War. Most shockingly, 4 percent think Thanksgiving is celebrated to commemorate some sort of historical military defeat over the Canadians.
