FASHION EXPERT CONTESTS AL GORE'S TIGHT TROUSERS

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- If Al Gore manages to wrestle the presidency from George W. Bush, it will be great for Democrats -- but murder for American love handles. That's according to Joseph De Acetis, a contributing fashion editor for "Playboy" magazine, who says the president sets fashion trends for American men and Gore tends to wear tight-fitting trousers. The result of a Gore presidency would be gut-wrenching for middle-aged guys with beer bellies. De Acetis says American men can breathe easier fashion- wise if Bush maintains his lead -- if only because he wears clothes that fit. Although De Acetis was a Gore supporter, he says presidents should wear loose trousers just so folks will concentrate on their policies, not their crotches.
