B.B. KING DOESN'T WANT TO BE KING OF THE BLUES

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Blues legend B.B. King may be King of the Blues -- but it's not a title he necessarily wants. The 75-year-old guitarist says he's never called himself "King Of The Blues" and he's looking forward to the day when folks will stop putting labels on different genres of music. Either way, B.B. has no intention to quit singing the blues and says "If Pavarotti can do classical, then I'm going to keep playing my music." The legendary musician has just been named a recipient of the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences 2000 Heroes and will receive the honor on December 5 in New York City, along with Bernadette Peters, Diana Ross and the late Tito Puente.
