BOB DYLAN WINS COURT CASE

BOB DYLAN WINS COURT CASE

DENVER, Colo. (Wireless Flash) -- Bob Dylan may have wrote "Just Like A Woman" but he's probably glad his attorney thinks just like a lawyer. It seems lawyers for the mush-mouthed troubadour have won a court case against a man who posted Dylan's confidential financial records on the internet. Musician James Damiano obtained the records legally after he sued Dylan in 1995. In the lawsuit, Damiano allegedly rearranged one of his own songs to make it sound like a Dylan classic and then sued Dylan for copyright infringement. A New Jersey Federal court found Damiano guilty of contempt after he lost the suit and posted Dylan's financial records on the internet. Stan Soocher, a New York-based entertainment lawyer tracking the case, claims Damiano's lawsuit was only an attempt to grab attention for himself and further his own career.
