KIDS CREATE RAIN FOREST OUT OF RICE KRISPIES

BIG SANDY, Tenn. (Wireless Flash) -- A group of Tennessee elementary school students is $10,000 richer after winning a contest to construct a sculpture made out of Rice Krispies. Kids from the Big Sandy School in Big Sandy constructed a 12-foot-tall rain forest replica made entirely out of Rice Krispies, marshmallows and glue. It took 29 students two months, 57 boxes of cereal and 51 bags of marshmallows to craft the sculpture. Cereal sculpture coordinator Angela Phifer says the biggest challenge was figuring out how to keep the Rice Krispies mixture from sticking to the childrens' hands.
