NEW PEN KEEPS EYE ON YOUR HOUSEKEEPER

TOWSON, Md. (Wireless Flash) -- A Maryland inventor has created a gadget that makes it possible for you to make sure your housekeeper is actually scrubbing your home. The device features an invisible ink pen that's used to mark your floors, windows and countertops before the maid arrives. If the house isn't scrubbed properly the pen marks will show up when an ultraviolet light is shined on them. Inventor Pete Albert says he got the idea for the maid- policing pen while working in a retirement community where he had to prove the housekeepers were really doing their jobs. He says the pen is also a great tool for travelers to make sure their hotel room sheets are changed every day -- and claims he's gotten at least a few free nights at hotels by using it himself. A kit containing three pens and a UV light sells for $55 at the createsolution.com website.
