SUGAR ADDICTS MORE LIKELY TO BE SLOBS?

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (Wireless Flash) -- A New Mexico researcher may have discovered why some folks are such slobs -- they're eating too much sugar. Addiction expert Kathleen DesMaisons -- author of the new book, "The Sugar Addict's Total Recovery Program" (Ballantine) -- says anecdotal evidence suggests "sugar addicts" are more likely to live messy lives filled with cluttered closets and disorganized drawers. As a recovering sugar addict, she should know. DesMaisons says she was never able to get herself organized until she cut down on sugar. Once she did, she felt compelled to get rid of all the old junk in her house and began filing important papers. Although the evidence is just anecdotal, DesMaisons claims many other recovered sugar addicts have experienced the same housecleaning effect.
