WILL PUSSYCAT PR CAMPAIGN HELP SOCKS?

PHOENIX (Wireless Flash) -- Socks, the White House Cat has been banished from Bill Clinton's post-White House digs -- but there may be a way for him to scratch his way back into the family home. Publicity expert Chris Ryan is offering to spearhead a pussycat PR campaign to help Socks publicize his plight and convince Clinton to take him back. For starters, the PR man says he'd love to get the 9-year- old Socks on the cover of "Cat Fancy" magazine in hopes of attracting jobs as a "spokescat" for consumer products. Ryan claims Socks could earn Bill Clinton as much as $5 million from book, movie and TV deals -- which could come in handy for paying off Mr. Clinton's legal bills. The publicist is also encouraging Socks sympathizers to e- mail or call the White House and encourage a "pussycat pardon" for the banished cat.
