MOTELS LEAD SINGER BRANCHING INTO BOARD GAMES

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Not much has been heard from the new wave group The Motels since their mid-80s hits "Only The Lonely" and "Suddenly, Last Summer." But lead singer Martha Davis is game for a comeback -- and if it doesn't happen with music, it could happen with her new own board game called "Anthology Land. The game is a music industry spoof on the kiddie board game, "Candy Land" and Martha says she designed it to be part of an upcoming Motels greatest hits CD. To win the game, players must land on "Record Company Isle," a sketchy place surrounded by evil lawyers. Although the idea was supposed to a joke, response has been so positive, Davis says she's planning on selling the game once the CD hits stores next month.
