COLOR EXPERT: BLUE FOOD BAD IDEA FOR SUPER BOWL

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Hard-core New York Giants fans who express their spirit by serving blue food at their Super Bowl parties may end up regretting it. That's according to color expert Barry Ridge, who says adding blue food coloring to dips, sodas and beer will make the grub look so unappetizing that none of your guests will touch it. He says humans naturally shy away from blue-colored food because there are few edible items that are naturally blue. The same is true for purple -- the dominant color for the other Super Bowl competitor, the Baltimore Ravens. Ridge says if your guests drink enough beer they might consider eating the bizarre-colored food, but a much better way of showing your team colors is by serving your chow on blue or purple plates.
