PHIL COLLINS' 50TH B-DAY NO GAS FOR FART ARTIST

PHIL COLLINS' 50TH B-DAY NO GAS FOR FART ARTIST

MACCLESFIELD, England (Wireless Flash) -- Today (Jan. 30) marks the 50th birthday of musician Phil Collins -- but while others may be singing his praises, an English "fart artist" is remaining silent. Paul Oldfield -- who performs musical tunes by passing gas -- has been trying for five years to release a parody of "In The Air Tonight" titled "(I Can Smell The Curry) In The Air Tonight." Collins' management refuses to let Oldfield release the cut, claiming it's "a serious song" that shouldn't "be taken lightly." But Oldfield -- who calls himself Mr. Methane -- says Collins is simply being anal retentive, although he'd love to buy him a pint of beer to try and change his mind.
