UNIVERSITY OFFERS COURSE IN SPACE TOURISM

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Wireless Flash) -- In the not-too-distant future, space may be a top tourist destination -- but who's going to staff all those solar system Club Meds? The Rochester Institute of Technology hopes to solve that problem with a new course in outer space tourism. Professor Francis Domoy -- who teaches Hospitality and Service Management -- says the class will train students in extraterrestrial topics such as the effects of anti-gravity on the digestive tract. Dr. Domoy figures the cooks of the cosmos will use lots of pasta and potatoes because starch-based foods hold together better in zero gravity than other types of food. And fitness facilities at orbiting space resorts must be top notch because the lack of gravity also causes muscles to atrophy.
