ROMANCE WRITER GETTING SEAL OF APPROVAL FROM NAVY SEALS

BOSTON (Wireless Flash) -- Don't think military men read romance novels? Guess again, because a Boston-based romance writer is getting the seal of approval from Navy SEALs. Suzanne Brockmann has written 17 romance novels using Navy SEALs as the leading men and, she claims the passion plays are getting a 21-gun salute from members of the Armed Forces who've read them. Brockmann says men in uniform make great romantic leads because they're take-charge guys who respect loyalty and friendship. The military passion plays have many male fans, but she admits they're more interested in seeing an accurate depiction of Navy life than her kissing scenes. And although Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura is a well- known Navy SEAL, Brockmann says she prefers thinking about Mel Gibson when she's writing a love scene.
