AIR KOSHER: AIRLINE UNDERGOES PASSOVER MAKEOVER

TEL AVIV, Israel (Wireless Flash) – The world’s only kosher airline will undergo a “Passover makeover” for the upcoming holiday. EL AL Israel Airlines is currently undergoing rabbinical inspections to make sure all its kitchen equipment and food adheres to the strict dietary laws followed on Passover. That means there will be no bread served on board except matzo and all meals will be served on brand new dishes. Also, beer and whiskey will be removed from menus since they contain grain. Some of the special Passover meals to be served include potato pancakes with grated cheese, smoked salmon with cream cheese and mutton chops in honey and thyme. EL AL also expects to serve 30,000 matzos to passengers during the eight- day holiday, which starts on Saturday.
