BOZO’S FIRST TV APPEARANCE DISCOVERED AFTER ALMOST 50 YEARS

HOLLYWOOD (Wireless Flash) – The original Bozo The Clown has unearthed the Holy Grail of his career: A film of his first TV appearance. The original 1952 TV pilot – titled Pinky Talks Back – was thought to have been lost until it was recently discovered in a Hollywood storage vault. The black-and-white film features original Bozo Larry Harmon in full makeup along with a live elephant and a boy sidekick named “Sparky.” Although the pilot bombed when it was shopped to TV networks, the 76-year- old Harmon says it always had a special place in his heart – which is why he is insuring the original tape for $1 million and plans to donate a copy to the Museum of TV and Radio.
