GUITAR FORCES ‘LOST IN SPACE’ ACTOR TO WRITE SONGS

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Former Lost In Space star Billy Mumy is now lost in music and credits it all to an acoustic guitar that dates back to 1948. Mumy – who played Will Robinson on the ’60s sci-fi series – has played music for years. In fact, he was one of the co-writers of the Dr. Demento classic, “Fish Heads.” However, the 47-year-old actor had no plans to record new music until last fall when he bought a 1948 Gibson Southern Jumbo. Mumy thinks the guitar “...must have wanted to have some songs written on it,” because, within weeks, he had written 10 new tunes that now appear on his new CD, After Dreams Come True. Although Mumy feels his guitar is “responsible” for the CD, he has no plans to share any of the songwriting royalties with the instrument.
