KIDS REALLY STICK THEIR FOOT IN IT

DALLAS (Wireless Flash) – A Texas P.E. teacher is taking steps to protect kids’ safety with a new ID card that fits into their shoes. The so-called “Medi-Kid Safety Insole” is similar to those Med- Alert bracelets except it’s an insole that fits in the shoe. The insole contains a photograph of the wearer and other data such as whether the individual is allergic to certain medicines and an emergency number to call. Inventor Thomas Martin says the insoles are also a good idea for people who don’t regularly carry IDs, such as joggers, Alzheimer’s patients or the mentally handicapped. The shoe inserts sell for $12.99 at safetyatyourfeet.com.
