Six winners, including Biography magazine and Gloria Steinem, have been awarded the First Annual Good Gossip Award by a professional speaking group called Enlightenment Enterprises. The award goes to people or groups that have used gossiping for the power of good. Biography was chosen for continually publishing articles which break stereotypes about people, while Ms. Steinem won for publicly stating that Linda Tripp should be criticized for her actions rather than her looks.
