MOST CINCO DE MAYO MARGARITAS ARE FOR GRINGOS

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash) – This news could leave a sour taste in your mouth if you’re planning on tossing back a few margaritas for Cinco De Mayo (May 5). A San Diego margarita expert claims most people don’t know even know what a real margarita is. Enrique Gutierrez, who manages a Mexican restaurant that serves more than 670 different types of tequilas, claims most restaurants serve make-believe margaritas using sweeteners and cheap booze. Gutierrez says the best margaritas contain only fresh lime juice, Cointreau liqueur and Blue Agave tequila – and the mixture should always be served on the rocks, never blended into a frozen concoction like a Slurpee. Also, leave the chips and salsa in the cupboard because a real margarita goes best with shrimp, venison or duck.
