BIG RIG BEAUTY CONTEST TO ROLL THROUGH SAN ANTONIO

HOUSTON (Wireless Flash) – You’ll never see Ms. Universe belching smoke and wearing a sign that says “Wide Load,” but you might at an upcoming beauty contest in San Antonio, Texas. May 17 kicks off the annual Rotella SuperRigs Truck Beauty Contest which features nearly 100 big rigs as “beauty queens.” The trucks are judged on exterior appearance, design, detail and workmanship – and one husband and wife trucker team has gone so far as to spend $6,500 to decorate the interior of their rig in purple and pink upholstery. A contest spokeswoman says truckers take great pride in their rigs and claims at least one trucker breaks down and cries tears of joys when he wins.
