CHEESE SCULPTRESS SWITCHES TO BROWNIES

CINCINNATI (Wireless Flash) – When inspiration strikes Cincinnati artist Sarah Baughmann, she heads to her grocery store, not the art store. That’s because Baughmann is a cheese sculptress who carves busts of folks out of cheddar and other cheeses She’s done cheese versions of Jay Leno and Brett Favre and is now working her way into sweeter foodstuffs for Oscar Meyer. The company has hired Baughmann to create five sculptures out of cookies, brownies, rice squares, frosting and marshmallow creme “glue.” The food artist says she’s enjoyed creating the sweet sculptures because “you can always eat your mistakes.” Oscar Meyer plans to display Baughmann’s sculptures later this summer as part of its “Build Your Own Fun” contest.
