PERU RANKED AS MOST GUT-WRENCHING DESTINATION

LONDON, England (Wireless Flash) – Peruvian tourist officials are busting a gut over a new British report which ranks Peru as No. 1 when it comes to tourists and diarrhea. The survey by Holiday Which? magazine reveals two-thirds of tourists who visit Peru wind up getting a bad case of the runs. An official at the Peruvian embassy in Washington, D.C., says he’s never heard of tourists complaining of stomach problems and claims it’s more likely visitors will suffer dizzy spells from being at high altitudes in the Andes. The survey also reveals Kenya is the second most stomach-churning country in the world with 50 percent of tourists getting tummy trouble, compared to only 9 percent of visitors to the United States. The least diarrhea-prone countries include Sweden and the United Arab Emirates with few cases of tourists getting the trots.
