WORLD’S FASTEST FINGER SNAPPER CHALLENGES MICHAEL FLATLEY

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – Finger snapping may not recognized as an art form but a 43-year-old man in Santa Clara, California, hopes to change that – even if it means stepping on Michael Flatley’s toes. Professional finger snapper Bobby “Badfingers” Von Merta claims he’s the world’s fastest finger snapper but admits he doesn’t know his exact rate because “it’s too fast to count.” Nevertheless, Badfingers, who loves to snap his fingers to The Surfaris’ “Wipeout,” admits finger snapping isn’t recognized as an art form but he hopes to change things in a snap. He’s challenging all tap dancers, especially Flatley, to a “tap- snap off” where they would compete hand-to-foot. Badfingers has notified the “Lord of the Dance” of the offer, but Flatley hasn’t responded.
