GEEZERS CLEAN UP AFTER WEEZER

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – Merv Griffin may have a trashy opinion of the fans of alternative band Weezer. When the alt-rock band appeared at a Hollywood record store on Tuesday, its fans left their mark by spray-painting graffiti on a poster of Merv, whose mug was given several red teeth. Griffin had a promotional appearance scheduled yesterday at the store and when he and buddy Pat Boone saw the vandalism, he remarked, “It’s like a bad dream.” Then he and Boone started cleaning up the mess so store employees wouldn’t have to. Griffin’s latest CD is titled It’s Like a Dream.
