WORLDS FIRST VIDEO GAME FILM FESTIVAL

WEIRS BEACH, N.H. (Wireless Flash) – An upcoming film festival is sure to score points with video game buffs. On June 2, Weirs Beach, New Hampshire, will host the 1st Annual Video Game Film Festival which will pay homage to films related to video games. Some of the more obscure flicks include Hollywood Zap, a 1995 movie about a Wall Street executive who goes looking for a video game champ and Starcade – the 1980s-era TV show that centered around a video arcade. The film fest will also screen news footage of the That’s Incredible Ms. Pac-Man World Championship from 1982. Event spokesman Walter Day says more well-known video game theme movies like Tron and War Games won’t be shown because the festival wants to expose lesser-known video game films.
