‘MR. BILL’ TO MAKE A COMEBACK

PARSIPPANY, N.J. (Wireless Flash) – Here’s some smashing news for Saturday Night Live fans: Mr. Bill is making a comeback. The often-clobbered clay creature will star in a series of commercials for – of all things – Ramada Hotels. The spots, which will air throughout the summer and fall, feature Mr. Bill’s misadventures in non-Ramada hotels – including being squashed by a fly-swatter in a cheap motel. Although the commercials feature a fair amount of Mr. Bill bashing, a Ramada representative insists the spots are “less violent” than his classic appearances on SNL.
