PETA WANTS DAIRY EXPO STOPPED

WASHINGTON (Wireless Flash) – The animal rights activist group PETA is stamping its feet about a possible threat of foot and mouth disease at the upcoming World Dairy Expo in Wisconsin. The October expo is expected to attract nearly 70,000 dairy farmers from around the world and PETA fears some of them may track in the disease which is known to travel on the soles of shoes. PETA has sent a letter to the general manager of the expo asking him to cancel the event because it could bring foot and mouth disease to the United States. A spokesman for PETA says the World Pork Expo in Des Moines, Iowa, was canceled because of similar fears.
