PROSTITUTES MAKE GREAT SECURITY GUARDS
PROSTITUTES MAKE GREAT SECURITY GUARDS
SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash) Cities may be able to cut down on crime by having prostitutes patrol the streets. Thats the opinion of San Francisco-based sex worker advocate Carole Leigh, who says streetwalkers deter burglaries and other crimes that thrive on isolated streets. Shes not alone. A group of New Zealand hookers who call themselves The Prostitutes Collective is currently arguing with government officials that their presence actually deters street crime. Leigh thinks that if prostitution were legalized, many other crimes would be prevented because the hookers would report illegal activity to the police. She thinks turning prostitutes into sexy security guards would reduce the police workload while increasing the number of bodies patrolling the streets.
