INDIANA MAN USING E-BAY AS HIS HOLLYWOOD AGENT

BLOOMINGTON, Indiana (Wireless Flash) – A struggling screenwriter from Bloomington, Indiana, is using the eBay auction site as a movie agent. 41-year-old Mike Schmidt wants to circumvent the normal climb up the show business ladder by auctioning his screenplay over eBay for at least $9,999. The proposed movie, Blue Christmas, is a modern-day version of A Christmas Carol featuring a suicidal musician instead of stingy Ebeneezer Scrooge. Schmidt says he tried to sell the script for years but got fed up and decided to let the auction site do the job. So far, he hasn’t had any takers but claims he’s received more interest in his script in the past week than in his five years of pounding the Hollywood pavement.
