EBAY SHOW BIZ BIDS RUNNING AMUCK

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – First, a writer in Bloomington, Indiana, tried to sell his movie script on eBay – now a guy in New York is using the auction site to land a TV development deal. New York-based radio producer Tim Reid figures his auction scheme will win him a sitcom deal in the neighborhood of $250,000. One idea Reid hopes to sell is about a screwed-up guardian angel who saves the life of a girl who was meant to die and now has to kill her before God finds out. Although Reid hopes his plan gets show biz bigwigs to give him his own show, some experts are skeptical, such as Home Alone producer Scott Rosenfelt, who thinks trying to break into show business via eBay is a “cynical gimmick.” However, Reid disagrees, and says future Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire is proof that no-talents have taken over Hollywood.
