ANTIQUES ROADSHOW LANDMARK: MOST VALUABLE ITEM EVER FOUND
TUCSON, Ariz. (Wireless Flash) The PBS hit show Antiques Roadshow has reached a new landmark with the recent discovery of a Navajo blanket worth half a million bucks. The blue and white striped blanket is the most valuable item ever discovered at a Roadshow gathering sponsored by Chubb Insurance. The blanket is owned by a Tuscon man who claims his family received it from Kit Carson. The appraiser who first saw the blanket says it is a chiefs blanket dating to the mid-1800s and the condition is so good it literally took his breath away.
