RETIREMENT CITIZENS EATING HIGH ON THE HOG

GLOUCESTER, Mass. (Wireless Flash) – Old folks aren’t gumming down oatmeal and lime green JELL-O for dinner these days – gourmet grandparents are now binging on high class fare like lobster bisque. It seems The Aurum Network, a Massachusetts-based chain of retirement homes, is gussying up the menu for old timers to that of a four-star restaurant. The retirement homes’ CEO, Kathryn Melendy, says dinner time will now include dishes like lobster bisque, Boston scrod and escargot prepared by chefs who have been trained at four-star restaurants. The old folks’ chefs are even working on a cookbook of the residents’ favorite meals.
