AMERICAN TEENAGERS DON’T HAVE A CLUE ABOUT THE 4TH OF JULY

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Wireless Flash) – American teenagers’ knowledge of the American Revolution is revolting. According to a survey by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, a large number of American teenagers don’t know enough U.S. history to pass the 4th grade. The survey reveals 22 percent of teens don’t know America declared its independence from England and 14 percent actually think France was America’s mother country. On a brighter note: 98 percent know the country’s capital is in Washington, D.C. and 96 percent know George W. Bush is the current president.
