BRITISH BUS STOP BECOMES TOURIST ATTRACTION

BALTASOUND, Scotland (Wireless Flash) – A bus stop on a remote Scottish island is becoming a tourist attraction for out-of-towners. The stop on the island of Unst has been named the “Best Bus Shelter in Britain” thanks to perks like a sofa, CD player and a snack table. 12-year-old Bobby Macaulay is the shelter’s caretaker and he says all the creature comforts are necessary because of the long waits for buses on the remote island. Although a goody-filled bus shelter wouldn’t last five seconds in the big city, Bobby claims crime is so rare on the tiny island that he only has to replace things when the wind blows them away. Residents plan to hold a festival dedicated to the bus shelter later this summer.
