VICKI LAWRENCE: ‘I WANT TO BE THE RALPH NADER OF MAKE-UP’
LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Mama’s Family star Vicki Lawrence has a new job: Being the Ralph Nader of cosmetics. Lawrence has introduced a new line of makeup she says will enable ladies to look beautiful without spending a lot of money or filling up their vanity table with unnecessary products. In the spirit of Ralph Nader, she personally tested the products to make sure they were waterproof by powdering up her face and jogging until she was “wringing wet.” But Lawrence admits there’s one thing her cosmetics can’t do: Make you look like her famous “Mama” character. That’s because she didn’t wear any makeup when playing the testy- yet-lovable old biddy.
