GARLIC FESTIVAL WON’T SUPPLY BREATH FRESHENER

GILROY, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – They’ll be holding their breath at this year’s Gilroy Garlic Festival – and with good reason. Organizers have declared the event “BYOB”: “bring your own breath freshener.” In previous years, the garlic festival supplied free breath freshener to guests – but not this year. Organizers couldn’t agree on which one covered up garlic breath the best. Instead, the festival plans to air the issue by letting attendees bring their own breath fresheners and vote on their favorite. A spokesman predicts breath freshener companies will be watching the vote closely because the coveted Gilroy endorsement allegedly has a direct impact on sales. The California festival starts July 27 and organizers hope to serve over 4000 pounds of garlic-laden foods, including ice cream.
