LANGUAGE PROBLEMS AHEAD FOR VIRGINIA SEPTUPLETS?
CARLISLE, Iowa (Wireless Flash) Those septuplets born in Virginia last week may be unable to talk with other humans if the parents arent careful. Thats the chilling prediction from fellow septuplet mom Bobbi McCaughey, who warns the Qahtani family to keep adults around the kids at all times. McCaughey tells Americanbaby.com that if the Qahtani kids dont have constant grown-up interaction, they will lapse into cryptophasia, a strange condition where they make up their own language and have difficulties learning others. Multiple births are more prone to the problem, which has been linked to communication problems later in life.
