ZANZIBAR – Residents of Zanzibar are losing sleep over a sex-mad ghost that’s striking victims in their beds. Eyewitnesses claim the ghost appears in a puff of smoke and puts victims into a trance before molesting them.

BURBANK, Calif. – Kelsey Grammer is getting a little help from his friends from Cheers. Shelley Long and Bebe Neuwirth – who played the actor’s flames on the show – will join him on the season premiere of Frasier as their Cheers characters “Diane” and “Lilith.”

NORTHERN NORWAY – Talk about a great fish story: A Norwegian fisherman reeled in a fellow angler after the man was swept downstream. The fisherman jokes that the 247-pound Danish man was his best catch ever.

LOS ANGELES – Two actors who were to appear on the crime-solving show America’s Most Wanted are under arrest for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old girl. Police say the men had sex with the girl in the shelter she lived at after filming a segment for the TV show.

BERLIN – Like a scene out of the Simpsons, a 13-year-old German girl’s plea went ignored when she tried to stop a dead cow packed with fireworks from being dropped out of a helicopter in the name of art. The girl called the event a “spiritual shock,” a court called it legal.

PHILADELPHIA – Olympic gymnast Shannon Miller will be doing some twists of a different sort this Thursday in Philadelphia. The gold medalist will learn how to twist pretzels at the Auntie Anne’s Hand Rolled Soft Pretzel Store in a local mall.

CARDIFF, Wales – Don’t ruffle the feathers of a canary breeder – you might get socked. Case in point: A champion bird fancier was arrested during a competition in Wales after punching a judge who insulted his canaries. The breeder – who is also a wrestler – was given a suspended prison sentence and fined $700.

LOS ANGELES – A children’s soccer league has banned one parent, two coaches, and disbanded two boys for life because of a brawl involving more than 30 adults, some of whom suffered black eyes, bite marks, and bumps on the head from umbrellas.
