ERIK ESTRADA PLAYS HIMSELF MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Erik Estrada has a unique distinction among actors: He has played himself on more TV shows than almost anyone else. TV Guide reports the former CHiPs hunk has played himself on numerous shows including V.I.P., Popular and The Nanny. Estrada believes that he and William Shatner are actually neck and neck for the dubious honor and admits he enjoys the guest shots because, in his words, “It’s not real; it’s not the cure for cancer – it’s camp.” Estrada’s latest acting gig is supplying voices for Sealab 2021, a new animated series debuting in September on the Cartoon Network.
