PREGNANCY BAD FOR SKIN, HAIR AND NAILS

SCHAUMBERG, Ill. (Wireless Flash) – The joy of motherhood can be hell on the skin, hair and nails. According to the Journal Of The American Academy of Dermatology, 90 percent of pregnant women suffer from “hyperpigmentation,” a skin disorder that turns body parts like the breasts, genitals and thighs darker than normal. Not only that but pregnant ladies also suffer from higher incidents of “hirsutism,” where they grow extra hair on their face or chest. Even more ghastly, their nails are more likely to break. However, pregnancy is actually good for some medical conditions. For instance, women who suffer the skin disorder, psoriasis, usually see an improvement in their symptoms when they’ve got a bun in the oven.
